MOSCOW, May 28 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has found out that a significant part of the Stockholm arbitration court’s ruling on gas transit through Ukraine was written by other persons than the arbiter, and submitted a request on full cancelation of the ruling to the court, Gazprom said in a statement on Monday.
The Stockholm arbitration court ruled earlier this year that Gazprom must pay Naftogaz Ukrainy U.S. $2.56 billion for non-shipment of gas. Gazprom said that the decision led to an imbalance in relations of the companies and requested termination of gas transit and delivery contracts with Ukraine.
